Hi, I am trying to use the boost C++ serialization library. Can you point me to how I can build the library on the itanium system? Also I would like to get some leads as to how I should start. Problem with boost::pool on MSVC8

Dear all, I am encountering a crash due to corrupted memory (_CrtIsValidHeapPointer assertion) when running a project that uses boost::fast_pool_allocator with std::list. This project is using mixed code. More specifically: - There is a native static library project named "KLT" which uses boost::fast_pool_allocator - klt.h is included in another, mixed (native+CLR) project where objects from klt.h are created The stack trace is shown below. It seems that this is a problem with static initialization of an object boost::pool makes. Does anyone have any idea as to what might be the problem? I am using the latest boost 1.33.1 compiled fresh with VC8. Thanks in advance. Serialization of ptr_container

Since I can find no specific mention that ptr_container classes can be serialized, I assume that means they can NOT be serialized. Right? Merrill

Hi, I am using MSVC 7.1, and I need to use the boost_1_33_0 Serialization Library. But I can't make libs\serialization\example\demo.cpp work. It always pops memory alloc error. linking with visual studio .net 2003 and regex

Hi, I built regex as a library using the source (UNICODE char set but not with ICU support). I am able to link to the library in a console program but when I try and link to the library from an MFC project I get a bunch of unresolved errors. Serialization documentation suggestion

It would be useful to Boost serialization users if there were a section in the serialization documentation titled, say, "Serialization Data Types" with a list such as * all built-in C++ data primitives * all STL containers * all Boost smart pointer types * boost::variant and any other Boost types that can be serialized (boost::any? boost::mutex? etc.) As it stands now, the serialization documentation mentions some, but the comments are scattered. The documentation is silent on other Boost-created data types. Merrill

Hi, I am using Borland C++ compiler 5.5, and I need to use the Boost Graph Library. But I am new to C++, so I downloaded the boost_1_33_0 but I don't know how to install and make it work. Using Boost 1.33 with STLport 5.0 on MSVC71

Dear all, I'm having a problem linking the simplest Boost unit_test program on the platform described above. More details here: Compiler: MSVC71 OS: WinXP Pro SP2 STLport 5.0 config: All default as obtained from CVS STLPORT_5_0 branch, except that I use /Zc:wchar_t to use wchar_t as built-in type.
