Trunk doesn't have a top boost directory?

Hallo, I just noticed that svn/boost/trunk doesn't contain a top boost directory, while the few tags and branches I checked do, e.g. tags/SPIRIT_1_6_4, tags/Version_1_34_1 and branches/RC_1_34_0. Is this intentional? Cheers, Nicola -- Nicola.Musatti <at> gmail <dot> com Home: http://nicola.musatti.googlepages.com/home Blog: http://wthwdik.wordpress.com/

It looks to me as if svn/boost/trunk mirrors the Boost distribution directory structure, as it should.

Maybe so, but then why aren't branches and tags organized in the same way? It's not just that I find it more convenient to have an explicit directory beneath "trunk", I also find the difference in approach misleading and error prone. Cheers, Nicola Musatti

Because cvs2svn converted it with everything inside "trunk/boost", "branches/RC_1_34_0/boost", etc. and I only went in and fixed the trunk. Someone should go in and patch up the other branches, so we don't have the extra, nested "boost". - Doug

I'm beginning to understand why Daniel Wallin was so eager to remove old branches ;-) Thanks for the explanation! Cheers, Nicola Musatti
