Hi Thanks for the help. But I am still not very sure about the meaning of dynamic_bitfields. Does it mean the size of the bitfield is dynamic? Shiyang

I believe it does refer to bitfields with variable sizes, as well as things like bit matrix-vector multiplication (which there are many tricks for doing efficiently). -- Jeremiah Willcock
