Dear John, I am CEO of Housemarque and I am contacting you regarding your inquiry a while ago concerning Boost licensing. We accept the new license terms as described below.
Boost Software License - Version 1.0 - August 17th, 2003

The copyright notices in the Software and this entire statement, including the above license grant, this restriction and the following disclaimer, must be included in all copies of the Software, in whole or in part, and all derivative works of the Software, unless such copies or derivative works are solely in the form of machine-executable object code generated by a source language processor.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COPYRIGHT HOLDERS OR ANYONE DISTRIBUTING THE SOFTWARE BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.
Vesa, would you please add "Housemarque Oy" to more/blanket_permission.txt?

Visa,
As you will know already, in order to simplify Boost licensing, we are in the process of moving to a single common license (http://www.boost.org/LICENSE_1_0.txt). The aim of the new license is to provide a single wording, that encapsulates the our previous license requirements, and which will simplify the evaluation of Boost for commercial organisations.
So here's the big question: may we have permission to change code that has copyright "Housemarque Oy" to use the new license? The copyright declaration would obviously remain, it's only the license text that would change.
If "yes", and you have Boost-cvs write access, please add "Housemarque Oy" to more/blanket_permission.txt.
If "no", please give us some idea what objections you may have.
Many thanks,
John Maddock. [Boost Moderator]

Excellent. We're now down to < 500 files that need to be converted to the BSL, most of which come from 4 libraries: Graph, uBLAS, Pool, and Thread. I'll deal with Graph myself (though it won't happen for 1.32.0, that's for sure); Thread is a known problem. Doug

Yep, we're down to a small hard core of "unavailable" developers now, the biggest hit (in terms of numbers of files) would be ublas (Joerg Walter and Mathias Koch), but they're not answering their mail it seems; I've asked some of the other ublas developers to try and get in touch (maybe by phone), so we'll see what comes of that. John.
