Has anyone else noticed the website being exceedingly slow? Maybe it's time, after all, to move its hosting to osl.iu.edu. -- Dave Abrahams Boost Consulting http://www.boost-consulting.com

Yea, it's a bit slower than usual. But osl.iu.edu doesn't inspire speed confidence given the 30 to 60 minutes turn around times of the mail list. For example you sent your email at about 11am, I'm reading first at gmane, it hasn't arrived at my email server yet, at about 11.30am. I also send through gmane. It's hard to say where the slowdown is. But Andy Lumsdaine reports that they're just about to do a major web server upgrade, FWIW. -- Dave Abrahams Boost Consulting http://www.boost-consulting.com

OSL is upgrading, I mean (not gmane). -- Dave Abrahams Boost Consulting http://www.boost-consulting.com

Understood.. You might want to see if things improve, both for the mail list and at SF, before making a move. First to see if the OSL upgrade has an impact to the list. Second to see if the SF web services upgrade, scheduled for Saturday, has an impact. It could be that the SF upgrade is causing the current slowdown if they are starting some it now. -- -- Grafik - Don't Assume Anything -- Redshift Software, Inc. - http://redshift-software.com -- rrivera/acm.org - grafik/redshift-software.com - 102708583/icq

Something seems to be going faster there. http://www.boost.org/libs/mpl is still way slow.

That could be. Worth checking. -- Dave Abrahams Boost Consulting http://www.boost-consulting.com
