[gsoc15] Removing my proposal due to plagiarism concerns
About 12 days ago I'd posted my proposal here asking for feedback; however, it seems that some people have forked it (it's a GitHub repository) and then deleted their forked repositories. I am taking down the repository due to concerns of plagiarism. I've submitted it to Melange, and community members who want to view it/offer feedback can see it there. I hope the admins are mindful of this when evaluating proposals. It seems that there's already been a case of plagiarism here.
Hello! I am sorry that it may have caused any concerns of plagiarism as I have tried to open the README file you have written via Desktop text editor, which (surprisingly) forked the repo. I assure you that it has nothing to do with plagiarism as I didn't mean it and I have been already preparing my own submission at that time. Feel free to explore my GitHub page [0]. Again, if it was only me forking the repository you mentioned, there's absolutely nothing you should worry about. Thanks a lot for being honest ^_^
But it wasn't just you. There was another fork/delete several hours ago. I
was especially concerned since there was a recent case of plagiarism. But
maybe that person tried to open it via Desktop text editor like you did.
Perhaps I overreacted. I'll consider putting my proposal back up.
Thanks,
Sandilya Jandhyala

Honestly, I think you're over reacting - the usual reason to fork is to make changes and then submit a PR - if someone was more interested in theft, then it would be rather easier (and leave less of a paper trail) to hit the download as zip button and go from there. And of course once your code is open source then it's "out there" anyway, Just saying... John.
if it's github we can almost always trace the original coder of the code, you know. Hence, if your code is on github, you are quite safe from somebody else claiming it to be his/her original work.
What you're saying makes sense. I've put my proposal back up.
