Will we apply this year?
That may be up to you, my friend. -- Dave Abrahams BoostPro Computing http://www.boostpro.com

Dave,

Will we apply this year?
That may be up to you, my friend.
Didn't you see my 'Can I help?' I probably should have phrased my question differently: Is there somebody already working on this and - if not - where can I find the material used to apply last year? Who would be willing to help organizing this? Is that more to the point, my friend? Regards Hartmut Note: Deadline is tomorrow.

from #gsoc on freenode: < straszheim> the boost c++ project was a mentoring organization in 2006,7,8... do they need to reapply? <@mlankhorst> Yes <@mlankhorst> Unless you don't want to go for 2009 So there's that. You've probably found these already, but: The gsoc 2008 page just has the standard blurb about boost: http://code.google.com/soc/2008/boost/about.html and if you search the wiki for 'google' and there are pages for the last three years. Unfortunately, no information about what application materials were used. -t

Sure, will help. Just put me in either as the main admin (link id: hkaiser) or as the backup administrator. Whatever fits your intend is fine with me. I started to write up some blurb on my own, which might add a bit here or there. How do you think we should proceed? Regards Hartmut

Here's the link: http://socghop.appspot.com/org_app/edit/google/gsoc2009/boost?s=0 I just pasted stuff in from the '08 application that Stjepan found. You are the backup administrator, you should be able to get in there and add your edits (there are some blank bits with 'todo' in them, have a look). Let me know if that works. -t

Hmmm, I'm getting an error: 'This entity does not belong to you.' Regards Hartmut

Sorry about that. The nice folks on the gsoc irc channel just informed me that the backup admin isn't supposed to be able to edit the Org App. So if you like you can just send me the edits... -t

Yep, saw that. I'll go over the text later today and send you what I come up with. Regards Hartmut
