Hello, It's been a while since John Torjo remove his logging library from review. A logging library would be very useful and I was wondering if John plans to submit his library to review again or if someone else is working on another logging library for boost ? Jean-Daniel

Jean-Daniel I would also like to know about this please. We could definitely use a standardized Logging facility.
TIA, Richard Day

There are some good logging libraries out there, e.g. http://pantheios.sourceforge.net/. It's solid design based on SysLog protocol with great performance, http://pantheios.sourceforge.net/performance.html. I would love to see a logging library in Boost, and I wish it could be better or on a par with pantheios. BTW, pantheios is one of several projects hosted at http://www.stlsoft.org. -----Original Message----- From: boost-bounces@lists.boost.org [mailto:boost-bounces@lists.boost.org] On Behalf Of Richard Day Sent: Wednesday, March 28, 2007 2:55 AM To: boost@lists.boost.org Subject: Re: [boost] Boost Logging library JD wrote:

I've started some work in this way, but I was a bit short in time lately. I hope, I'll be able to resume soon. -- Best regards, Andrey mailto:andysem@mail.ru
