Hi, I would like to propose creating a new bcp tool. Using the BGL and Wave for handling better the dependencies. Would it have any chance of getting accepted? How much people need this? Thanks, -- Felipe Magno de Almeida

Yes. Why not add it to the Wiki? -- Dave Abrahams Boost Consulting www.boost-consulting.com

Yes! I'd also like to see used-by and uses reports. Regards, -- Joel de Guzman http://www.boost-consulting.com http://spirit.sf.net

I've added an initial cut at the description to the Wiki: http://www.crystalclearsoftware.com/cgi-bin/boost_wiki/wiki.pl?Google_Summer... and suggested John Maddock as the possible mentor. Please enhance this -- some of what I put in is very sketchy given that I'm not 100% sure I know everything bcp can do. John, feel free to remove yourself if you don't want to mentor on bcp... Jeff

Looks like I've been volunteered then :-) John.

FWIW, I'm ready to help with Wave related problems. Regards Hartmut

To be clear, though, I don't think we're at the stage that you've been volunteered for much. We need to have a student apply to do the project. I suspect we already have more ideas then students. And then, we don't know how many Boost students Google is going to accept. Jeff
