Re: [boost] Boost 1.36.0 release notes missing Circular Buffer changes

Yes, that's true. Not sure it is possible at this stage when Boost 1.36 has been released but all will be OK in the next version. Hi,
I took a look at the code in trunk and in 1.36.0, and I notice the release notes don't mention the change in behavior of Boost.Circular_Buffer WRT the default constructor.
Should we add:
Circular Buffer: * default constructor now doesn't allocate memory, and sets the capacity of the buffer to 0
To the 1.36 release notes?
This can be added atleast to the web site. Vicente

Right. Who should do this? -- Dean Michael C. Berris Software Engineer, Friendster, Inc.

Hi, this is a follow-up to "Boost 1.36.0 release notes missing Circular Bufferchanges" [sic]. In general, where should we commit things that go into the release notes? -- Genny

You add it to the appropriate file in: http://svn.boost.org/svn/boost/website/public_html/beta/feed/history/ Actually, it'll probably be a good idea to add one for 1.37 now. I just worry that it'll get accidentally merged with the live site. But I'll add it later today. The instructions for updating feeds are at: http://www.boost.org/development/website_updating.html#Feeds If you need help, or don't want to do it yourself, the best thing to do is post a support ticket with component 'website', or ask on the documentation list. I usually notice posts on this list (especially during the release period), but sometimes I miss them, as I did with the circular buffer thread. Daniel

That'll be me. I'll do it tonight.
