I had the same problem the options you have listed include /Za which means disable language extensions (c/c++ ; Language ; Disable Lanauge Extensions = yes in visual studio) I changed this and it compiled who knows why changing from boost_1_39 to 1_40 should expose this. cheers Jeremy Yes, I join to this question.
