[1.41.0] Beta planned for next week

Looks like we are on schedule for a 1.41.0 beta next week. Now would be a good time for developers to: * Merge any stable changes from trunk to release. You can tell if there are unmerged trunk changes with the svn diff command, or use trunk/tools/release/unmerged.bat. * Check http://beta.boost.org/development/tests/release/developer/summary.html to make sure your library's tests are clean. Thanks, --Beman

I thought the deadline for non-bugfixes had already passed: * October 11, 2009: branches/release closed for all library changes except when specific permission given by release manager(s). Is there an updated deadline for new features? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkrUlnAACgkQ5vihyNWuA4UqiACgnGgvLBKF4Le6LEYLVuMArLUA J5YAn3N6RX37H+Kvc3zgGb2PoqeaAbVY =sNCL -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Bug fixes will be OK through Sunday. New features I'm more nervous about. What did you have in mind, and how extensive are the changes? --Beman

Ah, thanks for the clairification. It's no big deal, I'll just leave the new feature for 1.42. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkrU9K8ACgkQ5vihyNWuA4XMfgCgk8gqy6IY/QobMpy930Vx0acu vhAAnjAhx/HchWSoEpSi0V/OwtZobbhm =Lwew -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
