[1.46.0 beta 1] Release candidate files available

Release candidate files for the 1.44.0 beta are available at http://boost.cowic.de/rc/ As always, the release managers would appreciate it if you download the candidate of your choice and give building it a try. Please report both success and failure. This helps ensure the candidates build OK before we push them out to SourceForge. Thanks, --The release managers

Make that 1.46.0 beta 1. The files have been pushed up to SourceForge. Before sending out a release notice, I like to get a list of known problems and an indication of whether or not we plan to fix each before 1.46.0 itself ships. So if you are aware of a problem with the beta, please post a mention of it here. Thanks, --Beman

There's a cosmetic problem that in a fresh build, the output of configuration tests (like long-long availablility) gets dumpted to stdout. I plan to fix this, since it's basically a missing 'mkdir'. - Volodya -- Vladimir Prus Mentor Graphics +7 (812) 677-68-40

Should have been a little bit more specific: Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit with GCC 4.5 that comes from Ubuntu APT repositories. HTH -- Dean Michael Berris about.me/deanberris
