Did someone just import an archive to the boost gmane group? I've been getting old (1998+) postings and no new ones all day, also they are not in order which is kind of annoying.. -- Daniel Wallin

I have the same problem. I cleared all messages in OE, reconnected but to no avail. /Pavel

Yes, when you wrote it was still in process. I had thought we did it when we initially established the group, and was surprised to find we couldn't search older messages through Gmane, so I asked our OSL sysadmins and Lars Magne Ingebritsen of Gmane to get together and fix it.

See the message from Lars below: ----- David Abrahams <dave@boost-consulting.com> writes:
Something may be going wrong with the mbox import. If you take a look at the http://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lib.boost.devel on the website you'll see that it shows a bunch of old messages at the top, instead of the most recent ones.
Is that expected behavior?
Yes, until the next reindexing. They'll be in the correct order on the news server once the import has finished, though. (It'll be done in a few hours...) ----- They seem to be fine now, though you'll find you have thousands of unread messages ;-) -- Dave Abrahams Boost Consulting http://www.boost-consulting.com
