Could we keep the review schedule more up-to-date? I went there expecting to find a handy like to the library currently under review, rather than grovelling through the mail archive, but alas, it's 10 months out of date. Thanks, meeroh -- If this message helped you, consider buying an item from my wish list: <http://web.meeroh.org/wishlist>

The _web_ review schedule, I meant (at <http://boost.org/more/formal_review_schedule.html>). meeroh

Tom, you should be able to upload new revisions of the web page using scp. You only need to be a developer on the Boost SF project. If you're not a developer yet, post your SF username and one of the moderators will hook you up. -- Dave Abrahams Boost Consulting http://www.boost-consulting.com

How hard would it be to have the review schedule include a link to the library download? I am trying to accommodate the following workflow (which I find convenient): 1. Lurk on the list 2. Notice people reviewing something I am interested in 3. Go to a web page and click to download it for review Usually if I have to grovel through the mail archives for the library snapshot I end up saying "too busy now" until it's too late :-/ meeroh

The announce mailing list we use to notify about new releases is also supposed to be for notifications for reviews _and_ their results! The past two reviews haven't been put through the announcement list. The whole purpose of that is so lurkers (like Miro) don't have to risk missing critical steps in the Boost process. -- Daryle Walker Mac, Internet, and Video Game Junkie darylew AT hotmail DOT com

Ok, I admit I forgot with this review to announce on that list. But I'm pretty sure when I managed the serialization review and tried to post it failed -- so no guarantees it will work. Are people really following that list? Jeff

I have that list watched. An announce list is supposed to have very-low traffic. It only has notices about the beginning and/or ending of the big-picture cycles. All the stuff in-between goes on in the corresponding developer list. People who only need to know the big-picture items can subscribe only to an announcement list instead of sifting through for < 1% of the messages in a developer list. (For our reviews, an announce-list posting would signal lurkers to start subscribing to the developer list.) I don't know who has authority to post to the announce list. We would have to query one of the admins here. (Answers?) Since announcements are very rare, in the worst case a review manager could ask an admin to relay the initial and final posts. -- Daryle Walker Mac, Internet, and Video Game Junkie darylew AT hotmail DOT com

Ok. I'll try to have this done by the time I send my next status report.

Even that the lists there need to be updated. The first few entries for the current schedule need their managers and dates filled in. The past review list is missing some results: I/O Manipulators and Adaptors (Daryle Walker) fizzed out without a decision [implies a "pocket" rejection] I/O State Saver (Daryle Walker) accepted and added Unit Test Library (Gennadiy Rozental) accepted and added (?) GCD Library plus integer additions (Daryle Walker) accepted and added Base from Member Library (Daryle Walker) accepted and added Coding Guidelines (Dave Abrahams) accepted and added (?) For the ones that have been added, you could put in the first Boost version to include them. (I don't recall those off the top of my head.) -- Daryle Walker Mac, Internet, and Video Game Junkie darylew AT hotmail DOT com
