On Boost's logo copyright
Dear Boost developers,
I am preparing the next upload of Boost package in Debian. I would
appreciate your help on a little detail, which is however very important
for Debian (if this is not the right place to ask, please accept my
apologies and direct me to a more appropriate one): who is the copyright
holder of Boost's logo? I understand that it is licensed under the BSL
license, but it seems to me that the name of the rights holder is not
listed anywhere.
Thanks for your help and for the great library, Giovanni.

AFAICT, the logo design was established around Boost 1.33. Here is related note from the release notes [1] ``` Rene Rivera for the new Boost web page design; and Zoltan "cad" Juhasz for the new Boost logo. ``` [1] https://lists.boost.org/Archives/boost/2005/08/91736.php (also in https://github.com/boostorg/website/tree/master/feed/history) To confirm that, you can check the old SVN history: ``` svn log https://svn.boost.org/svn/boost/website/workplace/logo/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r43937 | grafik | 2008-03-29 20:00:06 +0100 (Sat, 29 Mar 2008) | 1 line 64x64 Boost icon image. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r7553 | dgregor | 2007-07-27 01:22:25 +0200 (Fri, 27 Jul 2007) | 1 line Fix eol-style and mime-types ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r7018 | dgregor | 2007-06-13 00:09:40 +0200 (Wed, 13 Jun 2007) | 1 line Set MIME types and end-of-line styles globally ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r105 | johnmaddock | 2006-06-07 14:55:27 +0200 (Wed, 07 Jun 2006) | 2 lines Added Zoltan's original artwork, plus one transparent output version. ``` That suggests Zoltan "cad" Juhasz is the author of the Boost original logo. Interestingly, https://theboostcpplibraries.com states ``` The Boost C++ logo is the property of the Boost C++ developers ``` I guess, Boris Schäling confirmed this with Boost developers for his book, so that note on collective ownership might be most accurate.
