Acknowledgement for Certs 4 Less

All--- For some time now, Boost has been using the CA-signed wildcard SSL certificate that was very generously donated by Certs 4 Less. I promised them, in return, that Boost would acknowledge them on our website, as we have done in the past for other donors. We acquired the certificate so we could accept e-payments for BoostCon, but in the end we decided to pay EventBrite to take payments for us... so as far as I know, the cert is only being used at the moment for https://svn.boost.org Two questions: 1. Where does the acknowledgement belong? 2. Can someone who knows how put it there? P.S. I would be very happy not to get separate answers to those, if someone who knows how to edit the website *and* an appropriate placement for the acknowledgement could just take care of it ;-) Thanks, -- Dave Abrahams BoostPro Computing http://www.boostpro.com

AFAICT we don't have an appropriate place. The only space we have for acknowledgements is in the testing details: http://www.boost.org/development/testing.html#Acknowledgements So you'll either need to find somewhere for it to go, or write a new page. If you do that, I'll integrate what you've done into the site.

That reminds me that we should be acknowledging RenderX.inc at www.renderx.com for their provision of XEP which is vital for the production of the very popular PDF versions of many Boost manuals written in Quickbook, etc. They get a discrete 'puff' on each page at the very bottom line, but I think they should get a mention here too. I went ahead and did that: http://www.boost.org/community/acknowledgements.html

Well, I suggest you patch that new page ;-) -- Dave Abrahams BoostPro Computing http://www.boostpro.com

I'm not sure I am authorised to do that (don't seem to be?), and I certainly don't know how to either ;-) (Well - actually I could manage to edit the html, but I can't save it). Hints? Paul --- Paul A. Bristow, Prizet Farmhouse, Kendal LA8 8AB UK +44 1539 561830 07714330204 pbristow@hetp.u-net.com
