the review of the switch library ends today, January 13th

The review of the Switch library submitted by Steven Watanabe ends today (Sunday, January 13th). I would like to thank Steven for submitting a very useful library, as well as all those who have submitted reviews and/or contributed to the discussion (especially Tobias Schwinger and Joel de Guzman who have put in quite a bit of effort towards enhancing the design of the library). I will send a more detailed summary of the review as well as a decision in the following days. I currently have only 3 reviews to base a decision on, so any additional votes that anyone would like to contribute in the very near future would be very welcome. Regards, Stjepan

I'm not going to make a very throughout review. I have accompanied the discussions though. And I'd like to vote (could be counted as a half vote) that switch should not be accepted. It seems there are still too many doubts about how switch should be designed and which use cases it should serve. IMO, it should be rejected now. Then after all doubt about its goals and design is saned, it should be reproposed and then be accepted.

Stjepan

I'm going to make a different 'half-vote' - the proposal is sound and the idea useful, if 'niche'. I think these guys together can and should be trusted to produce something good, and we should not clutter the review queue further.
