Now that we have a separate module the release scripts we should remove them from the super project. I'll do that if there are no objections. Do we want to keep it as a submodule, or just completely separate? A lot of the scripts seem to be subversion specific, so can they just be deleted?

They’ve got to be rewritten; so I guess deleting them is OK. They still exist in Subversion, so they’re not lost. — Marshall

I like the idea of keeping them separate. Submodules are ok for things that benefit from the additional cost, but if they aren't needed, I'd never use them.

Just letting the list know: Daniel removed the tools/release directory in the superproject (develop branch) yesterday. Note, the regression/reporting branch should probably also be removed, since it's unused in the superproject.

I'll remove it from master later this week.

That'd be ideal, but currently the scripts in the module assume that it will be in place. We'll also need to deal with links to http://www.boost.org/tools/regression - should probably just put it somewhere else on the site, and add redirects.
