Re: [boost] [gsoc2008] Draft proposal for cpp-netlib and pion-net integration

Hello developers, I realize that things are busy due to an impending release of Boost 1.35 but as I have received no response from any of the developers on my draft proposal, should I assume that there are no Boost library authors interested for this particular proposal? In any case, I will put up a formal project proposal under the GSoC for your consideration. There was another message on this subject recently (you might have missed it): http://lists.boost.org/Archives/boost/2008/03/134654.php - Jim

Hi, AFAIK, Mr. Dickey cannot be a Boost mentor as he has not contributed a library that has undergone the review process and been accepted. I would love to be corrected on this point. Divye On Thu, Mar 27, 2008 at 10:06 PM, James Porter <porterj@alum.rit.edu> wrote:

Well, I'm not sure what the procedure is for being "officially" a part of GSoC, but there's clearly some interest in the project. :) I have no idea who would mentor it if not him, though... - Jim

I'd be happy to help mentor the project. My understanding though is that mentors need to be existing boost authors, which I am not. In any case, it sounds like "who mentors what?" is answered following the initial application process. So maybe we could figure this out later?
