[test] --catch_system_errors=no is not working

Hi, I cant make --catch_system_errors=no to work at all! Not even disabling asynch-exceptions I could make it to call a debugger. My debugger configuration is fine, I tested it with naked programs and it works ok! -- Felipe Magno de Almeida

In fact, just the assertions are catched by the test library. Is that intentional?
