There are two aspects to the problem: 1. Supplying MINGW_INCLUDE_DIRECTORY to bjam does not yield the necessary -isystem directives to the gcc invocations. 2. [More general] The environment-derived path to the archiver executable may contain spaces, but is not escaped when the archiver is invoked.
