Export control classification number for boost
Hi, We are using boost in one of our products, and are now in the process of collecting the information needed to export it. Can you tell me what the U.S. Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) for boost is, and whether a license exception may be used for it? This question has been asked a number of times before (as an internet search will reveal). I believe that the simple answer is that Boost software library https://www.boost.org does not, and cannot, have a ECCN number. https://www.bis.doc.gov/index.php/licensing/commerce-control-list-classifica... I do not see how the 'item falls under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of Commerce', or any other. As the license https://www.boost.org/users/license.html will reveal, it is software freely available worldwide to download without charge. HTH Paul --- Paul A.
