Comments?
Could someone put together a guide as to how to install TortoiseGit successfully and minimally?
See https://svn.boost.org/trac/boost/wiki/Git/InstallTortoiseGit
This was done hurriedly, but should be at least close.
I eventually figured it out with help from some kind #boost IRC people. But you should mention in the guide that one needs to get the "Git-1.**.exe" download.
Not sure what you mean by "Git-1.**.exe" download?
I mean that when you get to the msysgit downloads page, you pick the "Git-1.7.4-preview20110204.exe" (current version). As that makes for the minimal install. The others will install even more stuff that is not needed for just *using* Git. I was confused because the instructions from the TurtoiseGit site where not clear. And neither where the ones from msysgit. -- -- Grafik - Don't Assume Anything -- Redshift Software, Inc. - http://redshift-software.com -- rrivera/acm.org (msn) - grafik/redshift-software.com -- 102708583/icq - grafikrobot/aim,yahoo,skype,efnet,gmail
