I'm tired of reaching my arm down this rat hole. I will let my argument stand on proven portability and comprehensive testing. You (and Steven) can let your argument stand on hypothetical compiler optimizations and snippets of text from the standard. Let's agree to disagree for now and you can bring it up later if you want.
