Hi Marc,
I assume you mean: https://www.joltnominations.com/Jolt/
Yes.
It seems that for open source it's 40$ per category: http://www.joltawards.com/categories.html
And we'd add boost to category 9.
I can come up with the money ;)
Well, so can I. That's not the problem. The problem is that some representative from Boost would be needed as liaison (providing the packages, and probably support, to the judges). But apparently, there's not much interest in this. C++'s lack of a marketing organization strikes once again :) Thanks, Marc

Hei,
I've just came across the on DDJ for nominations for the 2007 Jolt Award.
Personally, I think that Boost is one of the biggest productivity boosts there is for C++ programmers, having had a large part in the definition of the next C++ standard, yadda, yadda. It is a shame that it has never in it's almost-10-year existence featured there.
However, much to my dismay, one can't simply nominate one's favorite tool, the tool manufacturer has to do it.
So, is there any interest from The Boosters to do this, despite the entry fee?
Thanks, Marc
