On Debian with GCC 4.5.2 x86_64-linux, build of several targets fails with the following message:
./boost/python/detail/wrap_python.hpp:75:24: fatal error: patchlevel.h: No such file or directory
That means bjam can't find Python (is it installed?) I suggest examining the output of bjam with --debug-configuration and also the site-/user-config.jam files. -- Dave Abrahams BoostPro Computing http://www.boostpro.com
