This syntax is so foreign - bizarre even - to most users, that I would beg someone PLEASE to put a warning on ALL jamfiles, something like # WARNING! Jam syntax means you need a whitespace before every ; I'll bet this trips up every single first-time user (been there, done that), usually when you are struggling to understand what ithe jamfile is trying to do.
