Would folks willing to mentor students for this years GSOC please step forward and make themselves known?
We need both people to assist in assessing the student applications, and experienced Boosters to mentor the students themselves.
We really need to get some new blood into this if our SOC participation is to continue - we can't rely on the "usual suspects" taking this on year after year - in short, "Your Boost Needs You!".
I have what I think is a pretty good idea for a GSoC project that I would be willing to mentor: adding support for two-level (van Wijngaarden) grammars to Proto. Proto is essentially a compiler construction toolkit for DSELs. It allows you to define the grammar for the DSEL, but currently has no native support for DSEL type systems. Support for two-level grammars would fill that hole. The job would need a student who has experience with type theory and a solid grasp of C++ template metaprogramming.
