And well, stop reinventing the wheel and use proto already. your mat_add_expr makes my eyes bleed. sorry, i tried to simplify things

by the way an idea to mix concrete types with policies seems good to me i'll try to think about it and could you please write an example of policy implementation of yours? -- Pavel
