AFAIK you are free to use whatever you want. However, I'm not sure if it is still in motion but all the boost libraries will be found on gihub in the future, at least as official clones or something like that. There have also been talking about private repositories but I don't know more about it. Anyway I think that it's not important until it is included in boost and distributed officially.
