As you may have guessed, this is my attempt at making the auto- complainer smart enough to determine when a platform has gone haywire. We'll send notes to the list in this case, but we won't bug the library authors directly. At some point, I'd like to keep track of platform maintainers so we can bother them about such problems. Doug
