This new version addresses all review comments. Tested with gcc 4.6.1 and intel-linux 12.0. Could be nice if somebody could run the tests with msvc.
I can test with msvc this coming weekend.

What would be the best way to add it to the trunk?
Get write permission to the Boost repository ?
