None of the algorithms use iterator pairs for polygons. Polygons might have holes, in our library, so having just a sequence of points is not sufficient to define a polygon.

Yep, I was assuming in my answer that Mathias had made a mistake in his question and was rather talking about linestrings. Mathias, correct me if I'm wrong. Bruno
