I'll try to answer your questions or poke the appropriate people :) Re: "NO EXCEPTIONS" in the README -- the README file was intended for internal Facebook contributors (hence stray references to internal paths), and "NO EXCEPTIONS" referred to "no exceptions to the rules above", NOT "no C++ exceptions". Will fix / clarify / remove soon. -Tudor.
