Another reviewer mentioned he saw a problem in the implementations use of EBO. I can't find that posting, but I thought it was Paul Bristow or John Maddock. Perhaps that explains the MSVC size issue.

He also suggests that the strategy he proposes would perhaps get EBO on more compilers.
His suggestion was not based on the actual implementation (please see my reply to the post). I don't see a way to optimise this more, but if somebody shows that it's possible, then I'll gladly implement it. Best regards, Robert
