If all of that fails I want the rest of the community to understand why we are doing what we're doing so that our work will be accepted, both by users, and -- we hope -- as a separate Boost library.
You should just make your own "improved" version of the library and get it reviewed as a replacement or alternative for the current one. Sounds like you've got a couple of competent and interested people on board - just do it! Good Luck Robert Ramey
