Al though a question: The instructions do not tell how I would select the mingw compiler.
Gee, I don't know how; I didn't see a mingw toolset when I prepared these instructions.

Looking at gcc.jam I see that, yes, we now have automatic detection.
What will happen if there is cygwin and mingw installed?
I don't know. I think you can specify it explicitly with flavor=mingw on your command-line. That doesn't seem very satisfying; what is the value of flavor if you want to build with both? I think we should take this to the boost-build list.
I had to explicitly specify it in user-prefs.jam.
Maybe I am overlooking something...
