I have attached my new version that passes all of your test cases (which are at the bottom of the file). It instantiates more templates than Daniel Wallin's version, though, because of the explicit walk up the ancestors of one of the domains being merged; I don't know if removing decltype from his would change that. -- Jeremiah Willcock
