Additionally we need to contact Joerg and Mathias (again!) about applying the Boost Software License. I currently have the impression that they are not willing to change ublas to the BSL. In that case IMO, we will have to rewrite uBLAS to not get thrown out of boost.
Hmm... it's the second time I hear such statement ("we need to rewrite a library because of BSL") and I keep on wondering why? Isn't BSL a good, but *optional* thing?
So far, yes.
Does not ublas and threads conform to Boost Licence requirements?
I think they do. At least, they'd better, or we really do have to throw them out. However, we have a strong interest in getting everything in Boost to use the BSL, and since the original authors have disappeared, we may collectively make a decision to undertake a rewrite. -- Dave Abrahams Boost Consulting www.boost-consulting.com
