Pfft, isn't looking for a build tool a great excuse to search for "boob" at work?! :)

Beyond that, bbi, boostie or boosty would work. Making up a word is reasonable, but picking a new name that isn't solely related to "Boost Build" will either cause the same problem (i.e. what is the difference between Boost Jelly and Boost Build?) or will require rebranding all of Boost Build to the new name. "bbi", boostie or boosty wouldn't have that problem. Is "bbi" taken by any existing widely used tool?
I meant rebranding, but I realize that's too disruptive of a change. I like "bb".
Just to repeat, bb (and the recently suggested bam) already exist in the debian repositories.
It sees that 'bb' is actually '/usr/games/bb', not '/usr/bin/bb', so I don't see a conflict. I'd imagine the package name will still rename boost-build. - Volodya
