Ok, I downloaded firefox and tested with it (as I should've done in the first place). Apparently the pdf images I was using didn't sit well with firefox. I've changed to jpgs and I can now view the diagrams with firefox. Thanks for reporting this. If anyone else has trouble viewing the diagrams please let me know.
