The gsod and gsoc timelines do not overlap much on the mentoring. So, I
will volunteer myself.

I'm sure this program is promising all we need is some active boost maintainers/mentors for the program. Last year I also asked to participate in GCI but unfortunately, we didn't have enough mentors so I was told "no". I hope that doesn't happen again in this case.
