Ok, thanks. Possibly something to bear in mind then, this was the major killer for us using svn at work as we intend to rely very heavily on branching for our day to day work on our upcoming project.
IIUC, cvsnt has a feature (called mergepoints) which automates tracking for you and eliminates the requirement for all those pesky tags to track merges.
