Argh. Have any MS Connect bugs been filed to track those variadic template problems? I wasn't aware that Boost had to turn them off - that's a big deal.
FYI after wasting three hours fixing the Windows 8.1 upgrade making my machine unbootable (tip to anyone else here: uninstall and *purge* all graphics drivers, including those for Intel onboard graphics and MVP Virtu, before doing the upgrade), I had a spare half hour to try VS2013 RTM.
