Hmm... indeed. I see failures for cmdline_test causes by the fact that there's std::detail namespace. Seems like a problem in standard library -- it should be using std::__detail, IMO, or something equally ugly. Anyway, I've fixed this just now. Two other failures are link errors for parse_config_file in DLL version. That function template is declared in header, but only defined/instantinated in source file. Could you try going to boost/program_options/parsers.hpp and changing the definition of the function to: template<class charT> BOOST_PROGRAM_OPTIONS_DECL basic_parsed_options<charT> parse_config_file(std::basic_istream<charT>&, const options_description&); I.e. adding BOOST_PROGRAM_OPTIONS_DECL.
