Hi Bernhard, I strongly request you look into the Adobe Source Libraries forest implementation: <http://opensource.adobe.com/group__forest__related.html> The data structure is truly remarkable in that it is designed in such a generic way that multiple iterator adaptors have been written for it to accomodate several different common types of trees. I submit to you that it would make a good starting point for a generic Boost tree container. The code is freely available and distributable, and you are welcome to use it however you see fit.
