I don't think Jaakko reads the list, so you might want to contact him directly. See lib/maintainers.txt But if you are willing to keep an eye on the regression tests, and fix any problems, it is OK to do the commit as far as I'm concerned. If it tests OK on trunk, then you should also merge it to branches/release. Thanks, --Beman
