Do you know if we have a page of the preceding *accepted* projects and its status? It would be interesting to analyze the impact of SOC on Boost.
I can create a list from accepted projects last year from the SoC data. I'll do that later today.

It's hard to guage the impact of SoC on Boost since it can be kind of hard getting code into trunk. I think that it might be easier to measure how many previous SoC students are now regular collaborators.
