I still believe 20-30 gigs is not a big deal
That depends. My desktop machine (which I use for running Boost tests) only has 20Gb free at the moment, with 30Gb devoted to tests for the 1.34 branch, and that's after upgrading the hard disk recently. I wouldn't want any more space to be consumed by boost tests. If I hadn't upgraded the hard disk (which I did for other reasons), I wouldn't be able to afford the space for the boost tests. Upgrading disks does cost money, even if it is not so much in comparison to other computing hardware.
